Tai Qi

Also referred to as Tai Chi and Taiji- this is an ancient Chinese tradition that today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.
It is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.

TaiQi is moving meditation and creates a state of calmness or can be practiced as a martial art.  TaiQi as a health training concentrates on relieving the physical effects of stress on the body and mind.

For those focused more on physical fitness and athletic performance the martial applications of TaiQi are excellent for restructuring the fascia and correcting posture while also enhancing reflexes and balance.
